About the event

Join us for our 13th Annual Lehigh Gorge Rafting Trip down the Lehigh River. We will be doing a Class III section of the Lehigh River. We will be stopping at around 1/2 way or 3/4 way to eat our packed lunchs.

Call White Water Challengers directly to book and let them know you are with the Lehigh Gorge Campground Trip on July 30th at 9am.

Price: $50/person including life jacket, extremely adventurous teenagers welcome.

Items to Bring:

  • Bathing Suit
  • Non-Jean/ non-cotton Shorts
  • Sunglasses with Chums or lanyard
  • Sunscreen
  • Closed-Toes Shoes (think: if my foot gets stuck in rocks, I want to be able to slide it out of the shoe to get it unstuck)
  • A cold-lunch or snacks
  • 32oz of water/person (you cannot refill your bottle with the river water, you will get sick)
  • Ladies: A SheWee or Microbaterial Wipe for the restroom (techincally swimming isn't allowed so depending on peeing in the water may not be best)

Cell Phones:

No one has ever lost a cell phone to the river that they left in their car. That being said, you may want to bring your cellphone to take photos. We have two recommendations for this:

1. Purchase a Waterproof, Floating, Cellphone holder ($10) that you can clip to the side of the boat (NOTHING should be around your neck on a river besides sunnies!)

2. Bring a disposable camera ($20) and put it in a plastic baggie to keep dry (maybe even 2 baggies)

3. Risk bringing your cell phone inside of at least 2 plastic baggies ($1). Good Luck though!

Items they Supply:

  • Raft
  • Paddle
  • Free Rafting Lesson before we hit the water
  • Type III PFD (you may bring your own PFD only if it is rated PFD Class III on the back, it will say so if it is)
  • 5 Gallon Bucket to put your dry items in (if you have a DryBag, feel free to bring it with you, don't forget a carabiner!)
