Tent Camping in the Poconos

Tent camping here is the plain version, and that's on purpose. Sites are primitive, with a fire ring and picnic table, a community wash sink and drinkable well water nearby, and a heated bathhouse with hot showers a short walk away. It's $32 a night or $378 a week for two adults and two children, with military and AAA discounts.

Tent campers get everything the RV side gets. The zero-entry pool and splash pad in summer, the fishing pond, the playground, the covered pavilion, laundry, and the camp store for ice, firewood at $7 a bundle and whatever you forgot to pack.

A few things worth knowing before you book. One regular tent per site, plus a kid's tent if you have children with you. Sites are priced for up to eight people before you'd need a second one. And we can't allow pets at tent sites, though dogs and cats are welcome if you're in a trailer.

We're in White Haven, five minutes from the D&L Trail and minutes from Lehigh Gorge State Park and the Lehigh River. Hickory Run State Park is about ten minutes away.
